Your boiler pressure should usually sit between 1 and 1.5 bar
If it’s too low, your radiators may not heat properly or the boiler might not fire at all.
If it’s too high, it can put strain on the system and cause leaks or faults over time.
Low pressure is often caused by:
• Bleeding radiators
• Small system leaks
• Recent maintenance or water being drained
High pressure is often caused by:
• Overfilling the system
• A faulty pressure relief valve
• Expansion vessel issues
A quick check of the pressure gauge only takes a few seconds and can help prevent bigger problems. If you’re unsure, or your boiler keeps losing pressure, we’re always here to help.
